Interested in joining a program?

SMILES maintains a waitlist of prospective clients interested in joining our programs. Waitlist times vary depending on the program and the time of year.

To be added to our waitlist, please take the following steps:

Step 1 - Review the Client Handbook

Download and review the Client Handbook.  This Handbook shares eligibility requirements, weight limits, precautions and contraindications, and more information about our programs.

Step 2 - Complete and Submit the New Client Information Sheet

Click the link below to download the New Client Information Sheet.  Complete and submit to SMILES.  Once this has been submitted, we will confirm with you that we have received it, and that you have been placed on the waiting list.

 

Are you a Case Manager or Service Coordinator?  Please use the Client Information Sheet if you would like to refer a new client to SMILES for services.

Step 3 - We'll be in touch!

As program openings occur, SMILES will contact you to schedule an in-person evaluation.  During the evaluation, you will receive a tour of the facility, choose client goals, discuss programming and curriculum, and observe basic interactions around a horse.  *Please note* an evaluation does not guarantee placement into one of our programs.  A spot can only be confirmed after a thorough assessment of the individual's needs and availability within our programs.  If there is not an opening that fits the prospective client's needs, they will be placed back on the waiting list.
